When a car engine comes in by surprise in your living room … it can do damage. This is how a chase ended in the town of Baton Rouge, in Lousiane. While the police chased a Jaguar XE, the vehicle violently struck several trees in a residential area.
The shock was extremely violent: "the driver (who was fleeing the police) was ejected from the vehicle and transported to the hospital in critical condition," said a Facebook post from local firefighters spotted by Jalopnik.
The engine block of the vehicle also ended outside the hood. After a gliding flight, he broke down the door of a house, ending in the middle of the living room. One resident was unfortunately injured. He was also transported to hospital, without his life being in danger, specifies the firemen.
The Facebook post logically provokes many comments. Some Internet users have notably noted the particular decoration of the show, with three deodorant "magic trees" hanging on it, an automobile decoration which should comfort the engine in bad shape.
Another comment points out that the inhabitant, who should recover from his injuries, will be able to console himself for this mishap by transforming the engine into a coffee table. There are indeed many examples of this reconversion of engines with a glazed surface placed on the pistons.
