The most anticipated smartphones are not immune to leakers and rumors, quite the contrary. It’s been a while since we hear more or less reliable information about the next generation of iPhone, but some are more insistent than others.
This is particularly the case with the possible dimensions of these future devices. YouTube channel EverythingApplePro has indeed managed to obtain 3D files (CAD type) of the iPhone 13 Mini and 13 Pro Max. Industrial designs on which appear the potential templates of two of Apple’s next four models.
This year, it will be square
The latter tell us that the two phones in question will keep the same height and width as their predecessors. However, they will take up more space since the thickness of the iPhone 13 Mini would increase to 7.57 mm, against 7.31 mm for the iPhone 12 Mini. That of the iPhone 13 Pro Max would be 7.65 mm, against 7.4 mm previously.
On the edge, we see that the volume control buttons and the slot for the SIM card are positioned a little higher.
This subtle change is more easily seen when looking at the location of the photo sensors. We notice in fact that the latter now forms a larger square than on the previous generation. This is even more noticeable on the Pro Max version since it gains 4.77 mm in width and 3.38 mm in height (against 3.06 mm in width and 0.14 mm in height less in the Mini version) .
Seek the light
If the space allocated to these modules increases, there is a good chance that the size of the objectives will also be larger. Enough to capture more light and thus offer better quality shots.
These diagrams confirm the forecasts of Ming-Chi Kuo, one of the most reliable sources with regard to Apple, who had also suggested that such was the project of the Cupertino company. You can watch the channel video EverythingApplePro to get an idea of what that might look like.
