For this last Roar Before the Rolex 24 session, the Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R # 10 posted the best time in 1: 34,533 thanks to Kamui Kobayashi. The Japanese, winner of the 2019 24 Hours of Daytona, is 0.180 seconds ahead of the Mazda RT24-P DPi # 77 driven by Oliver Jarvis and by just over five tenths another Cadillac, the # 5 of Mustang Sampling Racing / JDC- Miller MotorSports by Loïc Duval. The second Cadillac JDC-Miller MotorSports is 4th while the other cars (a Cadillac, both Acura and the 2nd Mazda) have not driven.
In LMP2, the fastest time went to Nicolas Lapierre on ORECA 07 # 8 of Tower Motorsport by Starworks. Again, not all cars took to the track (only 4 out of 7) including the Riley.
Earl Bamber was fastest in GTLM on his Porsche 911 RSR # 912 in front of the other RSR, Matt Campbell's # 911. The Ferrari # 62 of Risi Competizione (Daniel Serra) is 3rd, the Corvette C8.R # 4 of Marcel Fässler is 4th in front of the best of the BMW M8 GTE, the # 25 of Bruno Sprengler.
The Acura NSX GT3 # 57 from Heinricher Racing w / MSR Curb-Agajanian (Alvaro Parente) signs the reference time for this session with only 7 hundredths ahead of two Lamborghini Huracan GT3s, # 44 of GRT Magnus (Andy Lally ) and # 19 of GEAR Racing powered by GRT Grasser (Rahel Frey).
Five cars in this GTD category did not participate in this last test session, including the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 # 11 of GRT Grasser Racing Team damaged in the 6th session.
