In addition to HarmonyOS, Huawei unveiled new headphones and smartwatches this week. Among them are the Huawei FreeBuds 4 and the Huawei Watch 3, which benefit from a very generous pre-order offer.
This Wednesday, June 2 has been busy for Huawei. In addition to presenting its new HarmonyOS interface, the Chinese brand took the opportunity to unveil brand new products. We were thus able to discover monitors for PCs, the design of the Huawei P50s, but also the Huawei Watch 3 and the Freebuds 4. These last two devices succeed the previous generation of Huawei’s connected objects, and offer a number of new features.
During the pre-order period which ends on June 16, Huawei is offering two great introductory offers for these two products:
Huawei Watch 3: the first watch under HarmonyOS
To accompany the HarmonyOS announcement, Huawei presented its first connected device to take advantage of the manufacturer’s new interface: the Huawei Watch 3. This allows the watch to use many more third-party applications than the previous interface. . Indeed, it is now possible to download compatible applications from the AppGallery directly to your watch. HarmonyOS also offers a brand new interface, which notably displays applications in the form of a grid rather than a list.
The design of the Huawei Watch 3 has been particularly neat. The Watch 3 takes on the look of a traditional watch, with a round case housing a 1.43-inch OLED screen. Among the new hardware features, we note the arrival of a rotating crown (with haptic feedback) to navigate the menus, or eSIM compatibility. The latter then allows you to make calls or take advantage of all the features of your watch without having a smartphone at hand. A very practical addition that will delight athletes who exercise without a smartphone.
The latter will also be happy to learn that the Huawei Watch 3 is able to measure many health indicators. Its various sensors can measure heart rate, skin temperature, sleep quality or even oxygen saturation in the blood. All this data is then compiled in the Huawei Health app, available on iOS, Android and HarmonyOS. Finally, without 4G activated, the autonomy of the Huawei Watch 3 amounts to 18 days according to Huawei. This is very good endurance for such a well-equipped connected watch.
A more high-end version was also presented: the Huawei Watch 3 Pro. The functionality is the same, but the design is more premium. We thus find a titanium case, a ceramic back and a sapphire crystal protection.
The pre-order offer
During the entire pre-order period, i.e. until June 16, the Huawei Watch 3 benefits from a particularly interesting promotional offer. It first benefits from an immediate discount of 25 euros, but above all from a pair of Huawei FreeBuds 4i headphones offered for any pre-order. In total, the savings amount to 125 euros.
Huawei FreeBuds 4: the new headphones with active noise reduction
Huawei also announced its all-new wireless active noise canceling headphones. They have the particularity of offering a button design, that is to say that there are no tips penetrating the ear canal. This is a welcome feature for people who cannot stand in-ear headphones. However, this does not prevent them from offering active noise reduction. According to Huawei, it would be able to attenuate exterior noise by up to 25 dB. This is because the headphones can detect the way you wear them as well as the shape of your ears to provide you with the best active noise reduction.
Huawei also relies on the sound quality of its FreeBuds 4. The brand promises quality sound, and bass 50% more powerful than on the previous generation. A great feat for headphones that weigh only 4.1 grams each. A featherweight that does not impact the autonomy, since Huawei announces an endurance of the headphones measured at 4 hours, which extends to 22 hours thanks to the charging case. The latter, all round, slips easily into a pocket.
The pre-order offer
The Huawei FreeBuds 4 are also benefiting from a particularly interesting pre-order offer. In addition to an immediate reduction of 15 euros, they are accompanied free of charge by the Huawei Band 6, the brand’s connected bracelet. Its value is 60 euros.
