Android tablet makers are not scrambling to try to compete with Apple and its iPad. Samsung and Amazon are among those who resist, as Huawei whose future tablet has leaked.
Yes, the MediaPad Pro looks a lot (too much?) To the iPad Pro. Huawei did not look very far for this tablet, which takes many of the design attributes of the Apple tablet, with its fairly thin edges, rounded corners at the corners of the screen and the stylus that s' installs at the top of the device.
Similar and different at the same time
If we add to that the detachable keyboard that is reminiscent of the Smart Keyboard of the iPad, Huawei is looking for slaps! But fortunately, the MediaPad Pro has some arguments to make, starting with this hole drilled in the screen for the camera on the front: that should allow to reduce a little more the size of the borders.
The biometric recognition should be provided by a fingerprint sensor under the screen (it is certainly not present at the back of the device). Let's rest for a moment on the back of the tablet by noting the presence of two cameras and a flash, as well as a special connector for the keyboard. The MediaPad could ship a USB-C port and, perhaps, a jack (but it's not safe).
The rumor also reports that the tablet will work with a Kirin 990 chip, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and we can expect a big battery. It remains to be seen how Huawei has managed for Android: a priori, the MediaPad Pro should not integrate Google applications and services, but discussions between the United States and China on trade tensions could lead to a relaxation of Constructor restrictions.
