Each number that makes up the technical sheet of the Bugatti Chiron is mind-boggling. Its 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine produces 1,500 horsepower and 1,600 Newton-meters of torque. As for the maximum speed, it is 420 km / h, provided of course that the magic key which releases all the power is inserted.
And then there is the exorbitant price. This Chiron Sport white is listed at $ 3.3 million, the current equivalent of 2,791,388 euros. Please note, this is not a new car, because we are dealing with a used car of 2019 having just over 1,200 miles (1,931 km) on the odometer. Brooks Weisblat, of DragTimes, stopped by Lamborghini Broward dealership in Florida to find out … and see how much it would cost him to take the hypercar on long-term lease (LLD)!
The car was originally priced at $ 3.5 million, meaning it depreciated by $ 200,000 in about 12 months. The "Sky View" glass roof alone was a $ 62,000 option (Around € 52,000 at the current exchange rate), which is already the price of a nice car. The dealer offered Brooks $ 350,000 (around € 300,000) for his Ferrari F8 Tributo, as a down payment. Nice!
And now we come to the craziest numbers. With a plan of three year lease, the monthly payment is $ 52,196 (≅ 44'000 €). If you choose the two year plan, you are even if you pay $ 65,950 each month (55'785 €). Namely that the car is still under warranty for two years, including maintenance as well.
As to authorized annual mileage, it is only 4,023 kilometers (2,500 miles). That means you can drive it an average of 208 miles per month, 334 kilometers, and each mile (1.6 km) will cost you around $ 317 with the two-year plan. Or 167 € per additional kilometer !!
In all, the total cost (including taxes) to Brooks would be $ 1.9 million to lease it for two years, or 1.6 million euros, with the possibility of repaying it at the end of the rental contract in order to keep the car.
