The BMW i8 is not quite dead: it still lives thanks to Taraschi, but its style has nothing to do with that of the German …
The BMW i8 impressed everyone with its very spectacular style, resembling that of a real supercar. Unfortunately, this sports car with a unique market positioning has just disappeared from the BMW catalog for good.
But thanks to the Italians of Taraschi, an old brand that disappeared in 1961 and resurrected today, this BMW i8 continues to exist. How? 'Or' What ? As the basis for a brand new sports car, the Berardo. The car in fact uses the chassis and engine of the German sports car, but with a three-cylinder turbo pushed to the maximum. Instead of the 374 horsepower of the i8, the Berardo claims 520 horsepower and can go from 0 to 100 km / h in under four seconds.
A very particular style
Whether the style of the Berardo will suit you remains to be seen. Completely rearranged from the i8, the Italian has a rather particular physique. We do not yet know the price of the car and the number of copies planned.
