MARKHAM, ON, the 1st Oct 2020 / CNW / -Acura must unveil the most ambitious transformation in the history of the MDX, the three-row luxury SUV that has sold more than 100,000 units in more than twenty years of existence. The fourth-generation MDX, whose prototype will be unveiled on October 14, will see its design, performance, technology and build quality reach new levels and will become the new flagship vehicle of the Acura brand.
This fourth-generation MDX is intended to carry on the legacy of its predecessors, especially the first generation, which set a new standard in the luxury SUV segment, said EmileKorkor, associate vice president of Acura Canada. Performance has always been important in Acura history, and the next generation MDX will provide an exceptional experience behind the wheel. It is the finest, most technologically advanced and sophisticated SUV in our history.
A first image and a first VIDEO released today, reveal the finely sculpted beltline that runs along the entire perimeter of the MDX, which has gained in width and length, but whose profile has been lowered, connecting the headlights Jewel EyeMD LED rear lights ChicaneMC OF THE.
The original MDX was the industry's first three-row-seat SUV based on a unibody platform, offering increased comfort, more space and superior ride performance to existing SUVs based on truck platforms. The model had received the columnists' lodges, and won the 2001 Truck of the Year awards in North America and the 2001 SUV of the Year from Motor Trend. Over the past twenty years, cumulative sales of the MDX have exceeded 100,000 units, confirming its title as the best-selling Acura model.
