This season, the galleys follow one another at Ferrari. Slowed down by a car that was not performing enough, Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel struggled to achieve satisfactory results. The Monegasque would have an idea on one of the problems.
Definitely, nothing works this year for Ferrari ! While Scuderia seemed able to titillate the hegemony of Mercedes last season, nothing happened with the 2020 edition. In the wake of a Lewis Hamilton which once again flies over the debates and a Valtteri Bottas in pursuit of his teammate, Sebastian vettel and Charles Leclerc look pale. Blame it on a car that is much less efficient than its eldest, where mechanical problems are linked. Often annoyed by the situation, the Monegasque seems to have identified one of the problems, in comments relayed by PlanetF1.
A question of tank?
Often successful in qualifying, Charles Leclerc must however revise its ambitions down during the races. A problem which would be due to the difference in the filling rate of the tank: " Since the start of the year we have seen on several occasions that we can get the most out of the car by qualifying with little fuel, but every time we refuel we have problems. It was the same at the Nürburgring. It happened again, but with the medium mix we still had a good rhythm. With the softs, we had problems with immediate wear. I didn't want to use the apps because of what happened at the beginning, but that's all we could do. "
