Formula 1 Carlos Sainz worried about his debut at Ferrari - Formula 1: Carlos Sainz worried about his debut at Ferrari! - The 10 Sport

In 2021, Carlos Sainz Jr will drive for Ferrari, in place of Sebastian Vettel. While the calendar only provides for a day and a half of testing for the drivers, the Spaniard is worried about those who will discover a new car.

The next season of Formula 1 will be marked by many changes within the tubs. Outraged Haas, which has for example decided not to renew its two pilots, there will also be changes at Ferrari. Gone for Racing Point, Sebastian vettel will be replaced at the Scuderia through Carlos sainz jr. Fernando Alonso will also be back on the circuits, replacing Daniel Ricciardo in Renault, who signed for Mclaren. To adapt to their new single-seaters, the pilots will only have a day and a half available during winter testing. Insufficient according to Carlos sainz jr.

“I think it’s practically impossible to be prepared”

In comments reported by F1Only, the Spaniard expressed his concern: ” Just having a day and a half to prepare for a season without having previously tested the car, I think it’s practically impossible to be prepared for the first race. (…) This should make my first half of the season at Ferrari very difficult, but also for Fernando, Daniel and the other drivers who change teams. I don’t understand why we will only have a day and a half per pilot. Honestly, I am not in favor of this. “If we add to this the pessimism of Mattia Binotto for 2021, next season is already shaping up to be delicate for Ferrari.
