A Lamborghini at 1,225 euros? It is possible and at this price you will not have one, but two vehicles. The Italian luxury automaker has teamed up with Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi, known in the smartphone market for its low-cost models, to produce an electric kart, convertible into a Segway scooter.

From two to four wheels
The designers imagined an easily removable frame, allowing users to separate from part of the kart, to transform it into a Segway scooter, these self-balancing machines resting on two wheels.
In 2015, the Chinese jack-of-all-trades giant bought out the Segway brand, before entering the self-balancing scooter market, by offering the Ninebot, named after its subsidiary specializing in local transport.
40 km / h and 25 km of autonomy
However, don't expect the same performance as the sports cars from the manufacturer from Modena. The vehicle with the characteristic yellow color of the luxury brand is limited to 40 km / h. Its 432 Wh battery can run 25 km before running out, i.e. 35 laps on a standard 700-meter karting circuit. From their smartphone, users can choose three different speed limits.
The steering, signed Ackermann, would allow the wheels to adapt their inclination in the turns, offering optimal stability, according to the designers. In addition, a rear spoiler would provide dynamic support offering better handling to the kart. The vehicle, which can support a maximum weight of 100 kilos, is also equipped with connected speakers broadcasting the sound of a Lamborghini V8 or V12 engine or its own playlist.
