Egg-free cookies in 1 minute: the recipe that is all the rage on social networks

Recently a cookie recipe caused a sensation on social networks. This is the recipe of the American youtubeuse and pastry chef, Emma's Goodies, which has more than a million views in a month. Always in a good mood, she presented her subscribers with a recipe for making a cookie quickly and easily. In addition to being super-fast to prepare and cook, the microwave cookie recipe is made without egg. Indeed, the YouTuber with 1.5M subscribers regularly explains in these videos that eggs cook too quickly in the microwave and that the result is not at all satisfactory.

Emma's Goodies instead recommend adding milk. She does the same for her other preparations: mugcake, bowlcake, traditional cakes … This recipe is also good when it comes to quantities. If you want to nibble on a little treat in front of your evening movie, but you want to avoid cooking for 15 people, know that this recipe is thought for one person. So obviously, it won't be the cookie with the crisp edges that comes out of the oven. But if you like super moist cookies, this recipe is for you. It is a very good alternative, much more practical and economical.

How to make a delicious cookie in 1 minute top time?

To make a cookie without eggs in 1 minute, you need: 20 g of butter, 25 g of sugar, 10 g of milk, 55 g of flour, 1 pinch of baking soda or baking powder, 1 pinch of salt and chocolate (in chips or chunks). If you no longer have chocolate chips at home, you can make them at home: simply take a bar of chocolate (milk, white, dark or even seeds or fruit) and cut the desired amount into pieces with a knife. The chocolate pieces will be bigger than nuggets and it will be even more delicious!

Start by melting the butter in the microwave. Mix together the milk and sugar and add to the melted butter. In the flour, incorporate the baking powder or baking soda and salt (without them touching each other). Pour the flour into your liquid mixture and mix well. All you have to do is add the chocolate chips. Your preparation is ready.

Place a sheet of baking paper on a microwave-safe plate and form a cookie with your dough. Cook for 1 minute in the microwave. Depending on the power of your appliances, you can continue cooking for 10 to 15 seconds if your cookie does not seem cooked enough, but this is not recommended.

Same rule as for cookies baked in the oven: after baking they will continue to harden on contact with air, so they should not be baked too much. Emma recommends leave the cookie to cool for 5 minutes after baking, then taste it.

How to make your cookies even more delicious?

Cookies are always better to make yourself! In addition, it is possible to improve your cookies with lots of different ingredients: by adding fresh or dried fruit, praline, peanut butter or spread after baking.
