Our fellow carwows have organized a funny drag race between two models that have nothing to do with: an old generation Audi RS7 boosted to 700 hp and a Lamborghini Aventador SV. Everything was obviously filmed.
Can a 700hp Audi RS7 beat the Lamborghini Aventador SV? A question that the carwow YouTube channel wanted to answer. Our English colleagues therefore brought the two cars together on a track in order to submit them to several workshops.
The first of them is the inevitable drag-race, in other words the 400 meters standing start. With 700 hp drawn from the V8 4.0 biturbo (original 560 hp), the older generation RS7 leaves at a disadvantage against the 750 hp V12 of the Aventador SV. But the torque of the Audi has also been increased since it reaches 1,000 Nm against 690 for the Italian.
In the first race, the RS7 won, to our surprise. Because although it has more torque, it is much heavier (2,020 kg against 1,525).
For the second round, the SV pilot seems to be more reactive when starting up and the logic is finally respected. The same goes for long starts or emergency braking where the Aventador is more efficient.
