The Scottish Distillery Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey and the Aston Martin brand have collaborated closely to present an exclusive edition of their alcoholic production dubbed “Black Bowmore DB5 1964”.
The manufacturer Aston Martin, often associated with an image of high standing and English refinement, does not betray its legend with this new bottle of whiskey produced in partnership with Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey. Like Agent 007, whiskey is a complex, powerful drink reserved for connoisseurs, just like products from the British brand.
Like its famous cinematic representative James Bond, the bottle named “Black Bowmore DB5 1964 ″ is meant to be refined: made by specialists from the Scottish company Glasstorm and featuring elements designed in Aston Martin DB5 pistons, each bottle is the result of a week of work by highly qualified employees appointed to to create these unique cases. The breathtaking final result lets us imagine the work upstream to make a bottle that perfectly takes up the codes of the brand's cars. The box, sober and exuding a certain class, includes not only the bottle but also a booklet retracing the history of the distillery and many other information / tasting notes.
The name of this limited edition, meanwhile, is rather evocative: in homage to Aston Martin's DB5 model, the year makes a double reference to the new era of distillation into which Bowmore Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey has entered and where The Black Browmore was first produced but also in the year the very first Aston Martin DB5 was released at the hands of the most famous fictional secret agent.
For this edition, only 25 copies will be marketed at a unit price of £ 50,000 (or around € 55,600). No doubt, if the world’s most famous secret agent has his preferences for his famous "Vodka Martini, Shaken, Not Blended", this whiskey could be one of his favorite spirits!
