The BMW M8 Gran Coupé First Edition, limited to 400 copies, takes the look of the concept car of 2018.
For the launch of the M8 Gran Coupé, BMW presents a limited edition of its new "four-door coupe" based on the Competition version of it and named First Edition. With its colors, it evokes the concept-car with which the M8 Gran Coupé was announced at the Geneva show 2018.
The car sports an exclusive metallic green shade called "Aurora Diamond Green" designed by BMW Individual, the manufacturer's customization department, close to the "Salève Vert" (in French in the text) of the concept. This color is contrasted by many elements in gilded bronze like the clipping of the grille, the lettering of the hood logo, the perimeter of the side windows and the external surfaces of the rims. Another detail is noticed on the outside: the laser lights are not blue but yellow, taking the retro nod of the prototype.
400 copies for the world
The interior of this special edition stands out at its door thresholds featuring a gilded bronze logo, a color used for mood lighting, and its brown Merino leather upholstery. Obviously, a numbered plaque completes the finish on the center console since the M8 Gran Coupe First Edition is limited to 400 copies.
Under the hood, there is the 4.4L V8 biturbo sending 625hp and 720Nm of torque to an all-wheel drive with propulsion mode, via an automatic eight-speed gearbox. The price of this First Edition as well as the number of units reserved for each market will be communicated later, in the approach of the arrival in concessions of the model planned for April 2020.
