After presenting the restyled BMW 5 Series, the Helix brand presents new photos of the sportiest version of the sedan.

The new BMW M5 is one of the best performing super sedans on the market. Precisely, on the occasion of the restyling of the BMW 5 Series, the sporty version of this sedan is also entitled to a small facelift. Compared to the previous M5, the new version has a new grille, new shields and a completely new light signature. The rear has also been updated with redesigned lights and a new diffuser. While these styling changes are relatively minor, they really do change the look of the German sedan.

Some minor changes have also been made to the interior: in particular, we see a new 12.3-inch screen for the infotainment system compatible with Android Auto. A few buttons appear on the center console, one for M mode and one for adjusting the vehicle's driving mode.

Same engine

Like the pre-restyling model, the 2021 M5 Competition is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that develops 625 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque in its Competition version. The M5 and M5 Competition feature an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels via an M xDrive all-wheel drive system. This system makes it possible to switch to 2-wheel drive, 4-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive Sport.

So, the M5 Competition swallows the 0 to 100 km / h in 3.3 seconds, against 3.4 seconds for the classic M5. No information has yet been specified but we imagine that in France, only the Competition version will be available, as for the M8, X3 M, X4 M, X5 and X6 M.
