In less than a month, the Geneva Motor Show will open its doors. The opportunity for the manufacturers who will participate in this inescapable unmissable event, to start to teaser some of their novelties. Bentley is sticking to it today by revealing a video where we discover the name of its future concept car: Bacalar. You certainly did not miss either the patronym which precedes the name of the concept car, Mulliner, which quite simply means that the revealed car will have been designed jointly between Bentley and its personalization department.
Focus on the electric
Bentley is quite active at the moment, notably with the new Continental GT, the just renewed Flying Spur and the Bentayga plug-in hybrid. Like most manufacturers, the British firm is also driven by the energy transition and this, for the moment, involves the presentation of concept cars related to the brand's electrified future, as evidenced by the latest EXP 100 GT concept. It is, moreover, from this latter concept that the Bentley Mulliner Bacalar should be inspired, both in terms of style and in terms of engine.
A concept car, really?
Therefore, we should find within the Bacalar, a 100% electric powertrain with four engines for a gargantuan couple of 1500 Nm. The concept will also have finishes developed from "ethical" and sustainable materials, handcrafted by Crewe craftsmen. Pending March 3 and its revelation, Bentley wanted to be quite enigmatic regarding its creation since "many will see it" But "very few will have the opportunity to enjoy". Should we deduce that this concept should arise on a very small series? Case to follow.
