Audi R8 Green Hell: German automaker pays tribute to Nürburgring circuit
To celebrate the 5 victories of its R8 model at the 24 hours of the Nürburgring, Audi has just unveiled an edition in the colors of the circuit, for a one-way trip to hell!
If the famous model of the brand with the four rings has seen many versions sublimate it, like the sports versions or Spyder, the manufacturer has just unveiled a new edition, paying tribute to the 5 victories of the R8 during the legendary 24 hour race at the Nürburgring.
Specificity of this exceptional edition: the new color "Tioman" which reminds the circuit of the Nürburgring, legendary racing track renowned for its length and its demanding turns. In addition, many elements in matt black aluminum such as the windshield pillars and several details of the stern have been added to the model to give it this even more “racy”, more competitive appearance.
As for the interior, the brand has also made its share of changes, starting with the numerous “green hell R8” logos that have been displayed on numerous occasions, to the bucket seats upholstered in Alcantara in their center and enhanced with blue stitching. green "fern Kailash" and with a revamped sports steering wheel, marked at midday and also partially covered with Alcantara.
On the engine side, we find the now very famous atmospheric 5.2L V10 which develops no less than 620hp for a top speed of 331km and a 0 to 100km swallowed in just 3.1 seconds. The latter is associated with the Quattro all-wheel drive system and its 7-speed S Tronic dual-clutch gearbox.
