There was however an exception in 2018 with a limited series of 999 copies of the R8 called RWS whose atmospheric 5.2 V10 sent 540 hp and 540 Nm to the rear wheels via a seven-speed S tronic double-clutch gearbox and a differential mechanical limited slip.
