The “Artemis” project, launched by the new P.-D.G. of Audi and member of the board of directors of the Volkswagen group, will rapidly develop a new range of electric vehicles additional in addition to those already planned.
The first model will be a high-efficiency electric car, which should arrive on the market in 2024, benefiting, a priori, from the latest technologies developed within the German group – and not a model already marketed and updated.

A new electric range with rapid deployment at Audi
Markus Duesmann, P.-D.G. from Audi, defined the "Artemis" project as: " an agile unit for additional automotive projects that will focus on new technologies for highly automated driving " This project will be the cornerstone of the vehicles to come within the German group.
To oversee this large-scale project and meet deadlines while playing the role of conductor, Markus Duesmann chose Alex Hitzinger who is the chief motorsport engineer currently in charge of autonomous driving within the Volkswagen group. He thus has access to all the resources of the German group and has great autonomy to carry out this mission.
