The new Audi A3 Sportback unveiled earlier this year, with a new exterior and interior design, as well as new powertrains, is now available in a plug-in hybrid version. This new 40 TFSI e engine offers the possibility of traveling 67 km (WLTP) entirely electrically, thus reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Audi, with this new engine, continues its electrification strategy by targeting the compact segment.
The new Audi A3 Sportback, introduced in 1996, marks its 4th generation with new design and new technologies. This new 40 TFSI e engine combines a 150hp TFSI engine with a 109hp electric motor, more powerful than its predecessor. Together, these two engines offer real sporting potential with 204hp and a torque of 350Nm. The transmission management, meanwhile, is designed to offer efficient driving thanks to an intelligent distribution of work. This intelligent management is based on navigation data, on vehicle sensors, and also on numerous driver assistance systems.
