Presented on the sidelines of the last Geneva Motor Show, the Aston Martin V12 Speedster makes its first laps on our roads. The proof in photos.
In the world of supercars, there are plenty of choices for the wealthy hobbyist. But if an already very expensive F8 Tributo or Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is not enough to satisfy the richest enthusiasts, the manufacturers have a solution. Even more exclusive cars, in very limited series and of course even more expensive. In the genre, the radical Aston Martin V12 Speedster is one of the latest novelties, in the same vein as the Ferrari Monza SP1, SP2 and the McLaren Elva.
Precisely, new photos of this V12 Speedster have just been published by Aston Martin. And surprise, it is even more beautiful when it rolls on the road than when it is displayed in a presentation showroom.
Only 88 copies
The new British supercar is a very limited car: during the presentation, the Gaydon brand announced that only 88 units will be produced for a unit price of 1 million dollars (around 800,000 euros). Developed by the “Q by Aston Martin” personalization division, each model will therefore be tailor-made.
The latest images released by the brand show a matte black V12 Speedster prototype, released for the first time in the wild. No other technical details were revealed, but we already know that the Speedster is powered by a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 that develops 700 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. Everything will be sent directly to the rear wheels to allow this supercar to bring down the 0 to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 300 km / h. Deliveries of the first cars are expected to begin early next year, once prototypes like this have been fully tuned.
