Oman Racing Team takes charge of the Asian Le Mans Series for the 2020/2021 season. The revised calendar of the Asian championship over four races (two meetings) seduced Ahmad Al Harthy. Sanitary measures did not allow the driver from the Sultanate of Oman to drive a British GT. The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will therefore be driven in the Asian Le Mans Series with the ambition of winning an invitation to the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans.
“Due to the Covid-19 situation around the world and the various travel restrictions, we have had to revisit our plans, make some tough decisions and consider the next step and the most appropriate thing for us is to look ahead. running in the Asian Le Mans Series »said Ahmad Al Harthy. “We've never had the chance to ride in this championship before. Sometimes opportunities arise as a result of problems. For us, it’s really a huge opportunity to be part of a very famous championship. An invitation to the 24 Hours of Le Mans next year is in our minds. As we always do, Oman Racing will do everything possible to win. "
Ahmad Al Harthy will ride in the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 alongside Jonny Adam, official AMR driver, and Tom Canning, young British hopeful. TF Sport will always provide technical support for the entry.
