The juries for the festival of early European films are now complete, and the names of other guests have just been released. In addition to Juliette Binoche, the president of the feature film jury, or Raymond Depardon, to whom a large retrospective is devoted.
Ten days before the opening of the 32e Premiers plans festival, its general delegate Claude-Éric Poiroux has just revealed new names, which notably complement the juries. Thus, alongside "the president" Juliette Binoche, here is the Swiss singer-songwriter Sophie Hunger, and her pop jazz universe. She made the music for the animated film My zucchini life.
Actress and director Sarah Suco (including the first feature film The dazzled just released), director Lukas Dhont (his first feature film girl was developed at the Ateliers d'Angers, before obtaining the Golden Camera in Cannes in 2018) and the Colombian director Franco Lolli complete this jury.
Nina Meurisse, adopted Angevin
The short film jury is chaired by Claude Barras (the director of My zucchini life), supported by the Portuguese director Cristèle Alves Meira, who went through the Ateliers d'Angers, and Nina Meurisse, who brilliantly interprets the life of Camille Lepage, in tribute to the Angevin photojournalist murdered in 2014 in the Central African Republic.
The members of these juries are both young and experienced, and can be trusted to judge the work of young filmmakers, analyzes Claude-Éric Poiroux.
Vincent Lacoste and Anaïs Demoustier
Other personalities from 7e art expected – in addition to the names already announced, Raymond Depardon at the head: the directors Olivier Assayas, who will present a preview of his new film, Cuban Network, in closing or François Bégaudeau, for his documentary film autonomous.
Actresses Natacha Régner and Anaïs Demoustier, comedians Vincent Lacoste and Mathieu Demy will also be welcome in the Anjou region, from next week.
