Huawei would be ready to deploy EMUI 10 (Android 10) on the Huawei P30, P30 Pro, Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro in China. The French version should not delay.
Already available on Google Pixels and some other smartphones, Android 10 still has to arrive on the vast majority of Android devices. Based on last year's deployments, however, the coming months should see a number of updates.
An advanced calendar
On the side of Huawei, some of his phones already have access to EMUI 10 (the home interface of the manufacturer based on Android 10), but in beta only. For the moment anyway since the manufacturer has just specified the arrival window of the final update for 4 smartphones, Huawei P30, P30 Pro, Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro.
The latest news, the update was expected to arrive in November on the P30 series and in December on the series Mate 20, but the public enemy number 1 in the United States seems to have taken a step ahead in its calendar. So, according to Huawei Central, the P30 and P30 Pro will receive Android 10 by mid-November in China while the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will receive this update by the end of the month. The Mate 20X and Porsche Design versions will also benefit at the same time.
Some nice novelties
As a reminder, EMUI 10 is far from the youthful look that could be expected from the interface of Huawei, but brings some welcome novelties as an Always-On mode on smartphones equipped with an OLED screen, a drawer applications that open by sliding – and no longer with a button – a dark theme for everyone – including those who do not have OLED screen -, but also a greater overall speed of the system.
For now, this calendar only concerns China, but there is no doubt that the deployment in the rest of the world will not be too late if the firmware has reached its final version. We contacted Huawei France to get a specific date and we are waiting for an answer.
