Alain Favey quits Skoda for Bentley. The Frenchman has just been appointed member of the Board of the British brand, in charge of sales and marketing. He succeeds Chris Craft, who retires after 27 years within the Volkswagen group. The latter notably ensured the management of Porsche Great Britain, but also of Volkswagen UK and Skoda UK. For his part, Alain Favey joined the group Volkswagen in 2009, after starting a career in France in PSA. Within the German firm, the manager notably held the positions of European sales manager for the Volkswagen brand and of Managing Director of Porsche Holding Salzburg, the distribution subsidiary of the Volkswagen group. Until now he was responsible for Skoda sales and marketing. Within the Czech brand, he supported the development of the hybrid and electric offer, with the arrival of the SUV Enyaq iV, the brand’s first 100% electric model. In his new role at the prestigious British firm, he will contribute to the transformation of Bentley towards electric, announced as part of the plan. Beyond100.
