For some time, Acura is trying to rejuvenate its image, at least, this is what we can deduce with its latest products: the superbomb NSX, more accessible vehicles like the ILX and the very last RDX, or the variations A-Spec of its products.
Now here is that the manufacturer is developing its own video game. We play for free from the American site of the manufacturer under the title "Beat That", in reference to its most recent advertising campaign which focuses on driving engaged. See the advertisement in question:
As in its advertising, the game allows you to drive certain current Acura products, such as the RDX, the NSX, the racing car ARX-05 and even the concept Type S which was presented at Pebble Beach last year.
But it's not just the new Acura that are featured in this charming virtual world inspired by arcade games from the 80s. It is even possible to get behind the wheel of a Original Acura NSX and an Integra Type R. However, you have to climb the ladder if you want to unlock these vehicles. From the start, the game only allows us to drive a classic NSX.
In addition, several circuits are on the menu, each inspired by the classic arcade Out Run.
We don't know if this little game will help Acura to sell more vehicles, but we admit that we had a lot of fun completing the tables full of nostalgia. Access the game by clicking here.
