Acura has added a new color to the catalog of the NSX 2020, and it will please fans of history.
The yellow Indy pearlescent color pays homage to the yellow color Spa, one of the two yellow colors offered on the first generation of the NSX. She joins Black Berlina as the heritage color offered for the 2020 model year.
"The Yellow Spa color, called Indy Yellow in some markets, was applied on approximately 20% of the NSX produced between 1997 and 2003. The yellow color Spa was replaced by the yellow Rio for the last two years of production of the NSX ( 2004-2005), "explains the manufacturer by way of press release.
Built from 1990 to 2005, the first-generation Acura NSX has changed the perceptions of many performance enthusiasts about Japanese vehicles. Fast, beautiful and reliable, the model proved to be an interesting alternative to some Italian cars.
In 2016, Acura brought the NSX back to life with an equally spectacular design, but the technology has nothing to do with the first. This time, it's more like a hybrid architecture powered by a 3.5L V6 twin-turbocharged engine, a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission and three electric motors adding instantaneous electric torque to the gasoline engine. Result: we are entitled to a total power of 573 horses, an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 307 km / h.
For 2020, the Acura NSX is available starting at $ 189,900. The color Indy Yellow pearlescent can be ordered for an additional $ 700.
