Already present on the market of bracelets connected with its Mi Band, Xiaomi is now aiming higher with the Mi Watch, a smartwatch which clearly tends to compete with the Apple Watch, the smartest connected watch in the first half of 2019 (with nearly 50% of market share alone).

The Mi Watch is rather special. Indeed, despite its design that is reminiscent of the Apple Watch, its operating system is unique as it is complete and offers features. Unlike other connected watches that are used as wizards for our smartphones, Mi Watch almost wants to replace our everyday companion with functions like web browsing or viewing videos directly on our wrist. This is made possible by a home interface MIUI for Watch ".

As a reminder, the technical part is provided by an aging Snapdragon 3100, a big battery of 570 mAh, a 1.80-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 326 PPP and all the usual connectivity (Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth …).

A planned arrival in France

The Xiaomi Mi Watch will be available in China from November 11 at a price ranging from 1299 yuan (about 166 euros HT) to 1999 yuan (about 256 euros HT) depending on the versions. No date has yet been announced for Europe, but Xiaomi confirmed at the launch event that the Mi Watch will be offered in France.

Regarding the launch window, it will be patient and keep an eye on the future announcements of the manufacturer. Indeed, the only temporal element that Xiaomi has kindly communicated to us is "2020". We will have to wait until next year to bring such an intelligent object to our wrist. In the meantime, there are several connected watches that can meet certain expectations.
