Of the two major mythological systems in the world, Greece and Rome are temporarily counted as one. They are handsome and pretty, happy and happy, and they can make love to any god or man anytime, anywhere, and immortal.

The other kind of gods are not so lucky. Odin, the father of the gods, is a one-eyed dragon, Thor is an expert in rat-catchers, and Luo Jishen should be as handsome as Tom Hiddleston, otherwise he will be hated to death. Most of them have been forgotten by mankind in the long river of history, and they are only mentioned in some superhero movies more than two thousand years later.

I thought about it, it should be related to their death in the end.People will die, and gods will die, so there is no reason to worship them.

"This is the story of how the world will end, in dust and flood, in darkness and ice. This is the ultimate fate of the gods." Before going to Copenhagen, I spent a few nights reading Neil Gaiman's "Nordic Gods", when I read this passage, the doors and windows of the study were closed, but I still shuddered.

August 9, 2020 is a Sunday. I set off from Brest and boarded a plane to Copenhagen. The suitcase was filled with tragic and vigorous things and the tension from 2020. This is my first time flying by plane after the epidemic.

Copenhagen is by no means famous because of Norse mythology, but the source is fascinating, and it is worth the effort. Today, Denmark, as the southernmost country among the five Nordic countries, is covered by a fairy tale that is much happier than its ancestors under Andersen's writing and Lego's cultural output. Because of its high welfare social system and standard of living, Copenhagen was rated as the most livable city by Monocle in 2008.

If you are an intensive traveler, I recommend buying oneCopenhagen Card(Https://copenhagencard.com/). Including all public transportation in and around Copenhagen, most of the attractions, museums, cruise ships, and some discounts on car rentals and restaurants. The validity period of the card can be selected according to the length of stay, ranging from one day to one week. I bought a 72-hour card. And it is very interesting that there is no activation at all, and the validity period is written on the card by yourself, very Copenhagen.

New Carlsberg Art Gallery (Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek)
Keywords: Carlsberg beer, three generations of grandparents, French impressionism

Carlsberg translates to Carlsberg in Chinese. Yes, it is the famous Carlsberg beer. Why does this world's fourth-ranked beer company have a world-class art gallery? The story begins with three generations of the Jacobson family.

The first generation of J.C. Jacobson founded Carlsberg Beer in 1847, named after his son Carl. This Carl inherited his father’s love of art. In addition to the brewer, he became a well-known art collector. He founded the New Carlsberg Art Museum in 1888 (the reason why it was “new” was because of 1882). In the episode of the break between father and son, the second generation of Karl established himself from the "old Carlsberg" and established his own "new Carlsberg").

Compared to the previous two generations, the third generation Helge Jacobsen (Helge Jacobsen) appears to be unknown, but it is of great significance to this museum and even the entire Danish art world. He introduced French Impressionism to Denmark and merged with his father's ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian sculptures to form today's New Carlsberg Art Museum.

It was built in the 17th century as a part of the Trinity Church. The purpose was to provide scholars of the time with a place to observe astronomy and a university library. Lime white and log brick color predicted the Nordic minimalism that would be on fire hundreds of years later. Except for the steps, the revolving corridor has a total of 7 and a half turns, leading directly to the top of the tower. This design is actually convenient for the carriage of books in the past.

Bertel Thorvaldsen, Danish sculptor, was a star from the end of the 18th century to the first half of the 19th century. He spent most of his life in Rome. In 1838, he donated a large amount of his art collection to his hometown of Copenhagen, and this museum was also built.

The collection includes Thorvaldsen's various works from plaster to marble. It also displays the personal collection of the sculptor, antiques, paintings and prints from Greece, Rome, Egypt, and his personal belongings.

Tivoli Gardens
Keywords: Chinese-style theater, walking after dinner

"When people entertain themselves, they don't think about politics."It was because of this sentence that King Christian VIII agreed to build Tivoli Paradise.

Tivoli is an ancient town in Italy, but its better known name is the Tivoli Gardens in Paris, which was established in 1795 as "the ancestor of amusement parks."

The fairy tale paradise creates dreams for the people, with carousels and colorful lights illuminating the night sky of Copenhagen. This dream spirit was destroyed by Nazi supporters in 1943, but the Danes quickly built temporary buildings and the park resumed operations a few weeks later.

One tip, Tivoli Gardens is not a pass. In addition to the admission ticket, if you want to use the facilities after you come in, you need to buy a separate ticket. So we saw a lot of people walking in the playground after dinner. If you come in the evening, you can find a beach chair in the square in front of the Chinese Theater to experience this kind of Chinese culture in a foreign land.

Keywords: funeral, lines, light and shadow

When we arrived, it happened to coincide with the end of a funeral. A group of people in black walked out of the church slowly with solemn faces. We stood aside, not daring to interrupt anything.

After everyone left, they slowly approached the church. It was dumbfounded, the lines and light and shadow were solemn and romantic, closely aligned, perpendicular to the ground.I just stepped aside just to respect the dead, but now I step aside because I love God.

Grundtvigs Kirke, an expressionist church combining Gothic and modern elements, was built to commemorate the Danish theologian, writer and poet Glentvigs. The construction process took 19 years. The famous Danish designer Jensen Klint designed it before World War I and started construction after World War I. The designer died in 1930, his son Carly Clint succeeded his father, and finally completed the construction of the church in 1940.

Cycling on Den Sorte Plads
Keywords: Bicycle Bully, high crime rate, peace park

It's no secret that Copenhageners love to ride bicycles. According to data from the Copenhagen Museum, only 14% of people travel by car during morning rush hours, 20% take public transport, and another 10% walk. The remaining 56% of Copenhageners choose to ride bicycles. This is an amazing number in our opinion, but it is the most daily fact in Copenhagen.

Although Copenhagen now seems to be peaceful (except for the submarine dismemberment that shocked the world three years ago), the crime rate in Nørrebro was actually very high for a long time. There was even a riot in 2006.

What should the government do when riots come? Copenhagen chose to build a park.

The community park where Den Sorte Plads is located has been established since 2008. It connects this community with different themes, bringing together different races, religions, cultures, and languages that were once full of contradictions and conflicts to enjoy this very artistic community. The peace that the park brings.

Andersen Cemetery (Assistens Kirkegård)
Keywords: Andersen, vitality in the cemetery

On the way back to the city from Den Sorte Plads, you will pass a cemetery surrounded by a yellow wall. It is called Assistens Kirkegård in Danish and is the largest cemetery in Copenhagen, where Andersen was buried.

The amazing thing about this cemetery is that it is not only a cemetery, but also a place where residents take a picnic and sunbathe. Crossing the tree-lined path (the main road can be cycled, other places can only be pushed down and walked), you can see people sitting on benches basking in the sun, children playing football, and lovers on a picnic.A few meters away, there is still a silent tombstone, and here is a crowd full of vitality. This kind of strong contrast can't help the outsiders trance.

Skt Petri Hotels
Keywords: Nordic design, sustainable development, fireworks on the balcony

First of all, the hotel has a very good location, close to Nørreport (North Gate), just across the road from Copenhagen University. From the airport, you can take the subway directly to Nørreport station in about 20 minutes, and then you can walk to the hotel in 10 minutes. Close to the trendy Latin Quarter and various restaurants and bars, you can experience two different Copenhagens during the day and night.

Typical Scandinavian design style, and attaches great importance to sustainable development. For example, when 100% offshore wind power is used, the lights in the corridor will be turned off at night. When guests reduce the number of cleaning staff to clean once, the hotel will donate 50 Danish kroner to UNICEF.

The hotel will also encourage guests to unplug unused power supplies, use towels for multiple times, turn off the tap when brushing their teeth, etc. These seemingly "knockdown" actions come from a five-star hotel in a developed Nordic country. It may seem strange, but " It’s time to change the idea of doing whatever you want after paying. We should really see the efforts of people with different cultural backgrounds. After all, one day the earth will be over, and you, me and future generations will all turn into dust.

At the same time, there are stalls selling street food in the market. I ordered the famous Danish Fiskefilet grilled fish cakes. The taste is fresh and tender. The spice and lemon enhance the flavor, but it will not overwhelm the taste of the ingredients. The only drawback is probably that the price is too high. Such a serving (small, similar to tapas, about two or three bites can be eaten) costs 68 Danish kroner, which amounts to nearly RMB 75. Zahida
Keywords: Pakistan, mystery sauce, super enthusiastic boss

I am not an author who specializes in writing food, but I will write occasionally when I eat delicious food, but today I am particularly aware that this is really not an easy job.

First of all, the first fatal problem is to take pictures before eating. Just smelling the smell, I have already swallowed a few kilograms of saliva. How could it be possible that I couldn't eat the food and had to take pictures first? ! 2. I have to choose a time to write this kind of article. For example, it is 6 o'clock in the evening. Just thinking about Zahida's French fries, my literary literacy is gone.

(I don’t want to say this was taken by me, but the taste is crazy, so I don’t want to take pictures)

After swallowing the last bite of the burger, a fast and enthusiastic British boy of Pakistani origin came to say hello and introduced himself as one of the bosses. Zahida is the business of the two brothers. The restaurant is named after his mother. When the fellow photographer Haiwei said that the fries are too delicious, he asked how to do it. The buddy said, "This is my mother's secret sauce. If you want to know, either marry me or kill me." After all, the three laughed.

On the first day in Copenhagen, the bike was not stable, so I dared to ride to a street food market called Reffen, which is a bit far away (actually not far, because I can’t ride a bike). When it was just in time for the sunset, the boy nearby was singing, and the golden orange sun dropped a little bit. I jumped off the bike and suddenly felt that my appetite was particularly good. I bought an Argentine hot dog, an Indian curry rice, a mango milkshake, and a slice of pizza. This was my first night in Copenhagen and I didn't eat any Danish food.

About Copenhagen, I can still chat with you one day and one night. The city’s social welfare, immigration, the relationship between people and the environment, the friendliness to children and the unique lifestyle of the Nordic people… There are also some surprising facts. For example, the Nordic people are not as open as everyone thinks. Give me He feels that he is on a paradise, living in a comfortable life, and he is not willing to accept things and people from the outside world.

Global expansion has made Copenhagen an international city, whether active or passive, but it seems that global expansion is slowing down, and Copenhagen's local fashion and culture have received unprecedented attention. Perhaps Copenhageners will always stay in their own safety zone, be responsible to nature, to future generations, and enjoy a sustainable and self-sufficient life.
